In 2017 I quit my job to pursue my agency.

I had a whopping ONE client who paid me $1k per month to generate leads for him via Facebook ads.

I had set the business up after running tens of thousands in ecom ads for my shopify stores.

The idea to get into the business came to me when I was working at an education centre.

We’d get these freshly minted leads each day and they converted well.

I asked the marketing department where they came from and I got this response;

“We pay some guy $120 per lead and they’re automatically loaded into Salesforce for you guys.”

I went home that night and placed a small test.

It looked like I could get those same leads for between $4 - $12 each.

Daaaaam!” 

Or words to that effect were, but either way it was enough for me to get to work immediately on building a similar business.

Sadly for me my company went bust and I found myself broke for the 987th time in my life, so I had to find a job before I could pursue the business.

Fast forward 18 months or so and I was completely done with having to work for someone else.


With my one client in hand and my resignation in the other, I was off.


I ran lead ads for dozens of businesses over the next few years and managed to grow my little one-person agency to 6-figures.


I came to realise for most businesses, lead generation was one of many problems for them and I became disillusioned with what I was doing.

I’d send dozens of leads to businesses and they’d just sit there uncontacted.


Thousands of them and the business owners seemed clueless as to what do when they even got a lead.


Leads are literally the lifeblood of any business, but just having leads is not enough to build a business.

You need systems in place to convert those leads.


When I pivoted from the agency model to selling high ticket affiliate products, coaching and consulting I wanted a system to nurture my leads.

Something that would create visibility for me.

Discussion.

Nurture.

…And most of all, actually help my clients out even if they never became customers.

For me, that’s always been through my content.

Me personally, I wish I’d found them when I was running ads for clients. Would have saved me a ton of heartache and trial and error….

Not to mention thousands in adspend testing.

Anyways, I digress..
